Pascal Pezzani has been engaged in Defence and Security since 1980, with increasing responsibility in Systems Engineering and Management. He started his career in Thomson-CSF (today THALES) where he carried out several design, development and IV&V activities for radar, C4I and Missile Systems. In 1993 he moved in Rome to set up and manage EISYS, a Joint Venture between Thomson-CSF and Alenia S.p.a.. In 1996 he was appointed Australia Campaign Manager in the THALES Naval Division, managing and lodging several Anti Air Warfare Systems bids to the Royal Australian Navy. At that time he participated to the creation of KN Systèmes, a French company engineering innovative embedded electronic solutions for the Defence, Security, Transport and Energy industries, where he was a member of the Board of Directors. In 2000 he became the Head of the Systems Engineering department of the THALES Weapons Systems Business Line. In 2002 he was appointed System Engineering Director of the THALES Ground Surveillance Radar Business Line, with the mission to develop new system capabilities for the Border Surveillance market. In 2008 he was hired by EADS Defence and Security Division (today CASSIDIAN), to create and lead the System Engineering Centers of Competence responsible for the delivery of the most ambitious Border Security systems ever developed, worldwide. He currently represents CASSIDIAN on the AFIS (the INCOSE French Chapter) Board, and is a member of the EADS System Engineering Steering Group.
